Coaches Registration Process & Confirmation

We need parents or non-parents to volunteer to coach! No experience necessary! Responsibilities would be to run a once per week 1 hour practice and coach the games on Sundays.Training provided! Printed support materials provided!

To enroll as a coach/volunteer:

New Coaches, or returning coaches that have not volunteered in the past calendar year, must complete the volunteer application form found under the download tab at the top of the soccer page. If the download does not work, please e-mail us and we can send you the form.

Returning coaches wanting to coach again must enroll as a volunteer (coach). After you enroll your child(ren), then hit the enroll tab again and choose volunteer.

For returning coaches only: if you have coached within the last calendar year, you do not have to complete another form. But, please re-enroll yourself as a coach when you enroll your child for the new season. We do not want to assume that you will coach, as you may elect not to.

New coaches mandatory season kick-off meeting: Review philosophy, rules, safety and pick up practice equipment.

2018 Meeting TBD.

Coaches optional training, new and returning coaches:
Learn skill drills by age group to use during your practices. If you have not coached 6v6 yet, we encourage you to join this training. It is a different game with the use of a goalie and larger fields/goals.

3v3 Age group teams meet on West side: TBD for 2018

6v6 Age group teams meet on West side: TBD for 2018

Please return your bag of balls/supplies at the end of the season to the referee at the last game, or for west siders drop to MSCR, at Hoyt, 3802 Regent St., or east side, MSCR Storeroom, 4711 Pflaum Rd., in the rear of the building, both sites M-F only, 8am-4 pm.

Practices: It is best if you can run a practice before your first game if possible. One hour practices are recommended, 1x per week. The day, time and site of practices are established between the coach and families on that team. School sites are non-reservable. City of Madison park sites, when using identified soccer fields, must be reserved directly with the Parks Dept., at a fee.

Weather Guidelines for Practices: If a heat or inclement weather warning or watch is in effect, DO NOT PRACTICE. If it is hot, use as many water breaks as needed. Water is the best drink to use, sugars dehydrate.
